LA PUPILA PRODUCCIONS is a project dedicated to the production, distribution and dissemination of animated theater shows, specializing in the world of miniatures and small format.
Since 2017, we have been working as a team with artists dedicated to the Lambe - Lambe Theater and the Miniature Theater. We organize group performances, take part in festivals and events, do training and find ourselves in constant research into the world of miniature and small-format theater, closely linked to our closeness to spectators. With our work, we want to weave and generate a space for meeting and exchange with and between the artists with whom we collaborate, as well as continue learning about the possibilities and evolution of the different techniques, enhancing their dissemination.
From LA PUPILA COLLECTIVE we want to bring you closer to the world of Miniature Theater and Lambe - Lambe Theatre, theater disciplines with animated forms. We are talking about small-format shows that take place in portable scenic boxes or in small, poetic and mysterious settings where miniature stories, lasting a few minutes, are told to a single spectator. Almost secretly, we will be able to enjoy a different way of observing and sharing stories from up close in an act of mutual trust.
Each portable theater has its own scenography, lighting and sound system, which is heard through headphones in most cases. Both proposals are characterized by the use of miniatures, the synthesis of dramaturgy and the need to communicate through a small and intimate stage space between two people.
The Lambe - Lambe Theater was born in 1989 in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil, by two art-pedagogues: Ismine Lima and Denise Di Santos.
